Baked Spaghetti with Beef
Preparation and cooking time: I hour 50 minutes
Introduction
This is nice and comforting beef spaghetti. It is good and loved by the whole family since it does not take even long to prepare. At the end of the day, you still enjoy your meal.
Ingredients
Diced tomatoes
Tomato sauce
Water
Diced onion
Green bell pepper
Chopped garlic
Fresh parsley leaves
Italian seasoning
Sugar
Bay leaves
Ground beef
Uncooked angel hair pasta
Grated cheddar
Grated Monterey jack
Procedure:
1. Preheat the oven to 180oC
2. Using a stock pot
3. Add tomatoes, water, onions, and pepper.
4. Add seasoning mixtures, garlic, bay leaves and sugar
5. Place the stock pot to a source of heat
6. Heat the contents in the stock pot until they boil
7. Reduce the heat and let it contents simmer for at least one hour while still covered
8. Crumble or break the ground beef in a frying pan
9. Cook with moderate heat until it is well cooked. Ensure there are no pink colorings on it
10. Drain any fat which might have formed from the cooked meat
11. Add the ground beef to the stockpot containing the other ingredients
12. Simmer the contents for twenty more minutes allowing it to cook slowly
13. Cook the pasta according to the advice offered in the package
14. Cover the bottom of the saucepan with a 2 inch sauce
15. Add a layer of pasta
16. Add cheese to the contents
17. Repeat this process making several layers but make sure you have the sauce at the top
18. Bake for 30 minutes in the oven
19. Using more cheese top the casserole and then return it to the oven
20. Continue cooking in the oven until the cheese has melted and even bubbly. This might take some few more minutes
