DEEP-DISH SAUSAGE PIZZA RECIPE
Duration: One hour.
Introduction:
This should be one of the recipes which you should make a staple in your home. It consists of a dough crust, spread with some sauce and topped up sausages, cheese and pepper. It is a sure way of enjoying your weekends
Ingredients:
Dry yeast
Warm water
Flour
Vegetable oil dried oregano and basil
Garlic salt
Onion salt
Toppings:
Shredded mozzarella cheese
Chopped green peppers
Chopped onions
Dried Oregon and basil
Olive oil
Parmesan cheese
Cooked pork sausage
Diced tomatoes
Procedure:
1. Put the warm water into a bowl and dissolve yeast in it.
2. Add seasons, oil and flour to the bowl and mix until the mixture becomes smooth
3. Continue adding flour until a soft dough is formed
4. In a floured surface, knead the dough until it becomes elastic and smooth
5. Put the dough into a greased bowl and turn it
6. Cover the dough and allow it to expand up to double its size. This can take about one hour
7. Knead and punch the dough into a circle.
8. Transfer it to a well greased pan and let the dough hang over the edges
9. Sprinkle the dough with mozzarella.
10. In a cooking pan, fry the green pepper, the onions and the seasoning until they become soft and tender.
11. Add a layer of half the formed mixture at No. 12 over the dough crust
12. Add another layer of tomatoes, sausages and parmesan to the dough crust.
13. Sprinkle again using mozzarella
14. Repeat the process forming different layers.
15. Bake the crust at around 205oC for twenty minutes
16. Sprinkle mozzarella and pepperoni again
17. Bake for an extra 15 minutes until the bread crust has turned brown
18. Keep it for about 10 minutes before you can cut into slices
