WHOLE-WHEAT MAC AND CHEESE WITH SPINACH RECIPE

Introduction:
Not only is this delicious but also diabetic friendly. It has incorporated the used of whole –wheat pasta cheese sauce and spinach. The food is magical ad pure comfort since it can be served across to all people even those with health problems like diabetes without any problem or risk of health implications.
Ingredients:
Salt
Low fat milk
Flour
Fat free cheddar cheese
Nutmeg
Ground pepper
Spinach
Whole wheat macaroni
Toasted wheat germ
Procedure:
1. Preheat the oven to about 205oC
2. Coat the baking dish with a non-sticking spray
3. Add salted water in a cooking pot and add macaroni to the pot.
4. In a small bowl, mix flour with milk until it becomes smooth
5. Heat the milk that remained in a sauce pan using medium heat until steaming
6. Add flour mixture to the pan and stir constantly until the sauce boils and thickens
7. Remove the pan from the source of heat
8. Add cheddar cheese to the sauce, stir until it melts. Add salt, pepper, cottage cheese
9. Put spinach in a cooking pan and follow the cooking directions
10. Drain water and any excess moisture from the spinach
11. Cook the macaroni and stir them in the boiling water
12. Drain and rinse the macaroni with cold water, and then drain again
13. Take a different bowl and mix macaroni with cheese sauce
14. Spread the macaroni in the baking dish
15. Spread the spinach on top
16. Spread another layer of macaroni on top of the spinach
17. Sprinkle them with wheat germ
18. Bake them until the color changes to bubbly and golden. This can take around thirty minutes.
